Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 2026-10-20.
1. Scope
AI Letter From Santa turns a short form about a child into a kind letter from Santa (written by Claude Sonnet 4.5 (Anthropic)) and an illustrated postcard of Santa in his workshop (painted by Nano Banana (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Image)), both run on fal.ai. This policy covers the details you submit and everything we return.
2. Prohibited content
Do not submit details for, and do not use our results for, any of the following:
- Bullying, shaming or threats: letters meant to insult, frighten or humiliate a child or anyone else.
- Sexual content of any kind.
- Violence, hate speech or symbols that attack people for who they are.
- Child-unsafe content: anything that endangers children. CSAM is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.
- Impersonation and deepfakes: letters written as or about real public figures, or meant to deceive anyone about who wrote them (other than the playful Santa tradition).
- Copyright and trademark infringement: famous characters and brands.
- Photos: we never accept photos, and illustrations never show real children or real people.
3. How content is checked
- Before writing: every form is checked against our blocklist (insults and shaming, sexual content, violence and hate, real public figures, links), which we update as new abuse appears, and then by Waffo Prompt Sift.
- Fixed instructions: the parent only fills form fields; the instructions to the AI are fixed on our server and tell it to stay kind, never scold, never threaten and never promise a specific gift.
- After writing, before display: every letter is checked again against the blocklist, and every postcard illustration by an image-safety filter.
- Logs: we keep a log of these decisions and review it regularly.
- No public sharing and short retention: there is no gallery; letters are deleted after 3 days (not unlocked) or 30 days (unlocked).
4. Reporting
To report a violation, email hello@ailetterfromsanta.com with a description and, if you have it, the link. We review reports within 2 business days, and immediately for child-safety reports.
5. Enforcement
- delete the letter immediately;
- block further use from the connection that submitted it;
- refuse to unlock the letter (any payment taken for content we refuse is refunded);
- report illegal content to the authorities where required by law.
6. Appeals
If you think we acted in error, email hello@ailetterfromsanta.com within 30 days. A person who was not involved in the original decision will review it.
7. AI disclosure
All letters and illustrations are AI-generated. Santa’s signature is part of the design.
