What to write in a letter from Santa
The letters children remember sound like Santa really knows them. Use this order and keep it to one page:
- A warm hello from the North Pole. “What a joy it was to hear from you all the way up here!”
- Two or three specific good things from this year. Learning to swim, being kind to a new classmate, helping with the baby. The more specific, the more magical.
- Someone they love. Mention a brother, sister or pet by name: “Please give Biscuit a pat from me.”
- The wish, without a promise. “The elves have written it on their list and I’ll do my very best.”
- A gentle nudge for next year, always encouraging, never a threat.
- A North Pole detail and a P.S. Rudolph, Mrs. Claus’s cookies, the snow outside the workshop window.
Tip: write in a different hand from the one your child knows: slanted, in red or gold ink. Or type the letter with our generator and print it on these papers in the printable pack.

Printing tips
- In the print dialog, set margins to “None” and turn on “Background graphics”, or the paper colors won’t print.
- Thicker paper (24–32 lb / 90–120 gsm) or cream cardstock makes it feel like real North Pole mail.
- Choose “Save as PDF” as the printer to keep a copy for next year.
